WASHINGTON – Junior

The Blue & Gray moved up one spot since yesterday, shooting 284 as a team on the final day for a three-round score of 26-over 878 (302-292-284) on the par-71, 6,109-yard course at the Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, New Jersey.
ON THE RECORD
"The team played great golf this weekend and were able to capitalize on the things we needed to from last week. I am proud of Gabby for playing the steadiest golf I have seen from her. A true team effort this weekend and we are excited to prepare for our next event." - Head Coach
Kate Schanuel
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gilrowski's 208 is the best individual 54-hole score for a Hoya, besting Jacquelyn Eleey's 213 at the 2017 Princeton Invitational at the Springdale Golf Course. It is the first runner-up finish since Lauren Gros' runner-up performance at the 2017 BIG EAST Championship. Her 68 is her new collegiate record, besting the 69 she shot on the par-71 course at the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational just five days ago (September 20, 2022).
- Gilrowski turned in five birdies, totaling 13 for the weekend. While she was 1-over on the front nine, the junior was 4-under on the back with a quartet of birdies and even par on the remaining five holes.
- Megan Gormley finished in a three-person tie for fourth place, carding a 1-under 212 (72-68-72). Gormley turned in three birdies on the day on holes 2, 8 and 16. Her 68 in yesterday's second round is the best round of her season so far and matches the best round of her GU career (68 / third round / 2021 Palmetto Intercollegiate).
- Angela Lee shot even par in her best round of the two-day tournament, moving up 13 spots to tie for 14th place at 9-over 222 (76-75-71). She tallied a trio of birdies, two on the front nine and one on the back.
- Lauren May had her best round today as well as she carded a 2-over 73 with a quartet of birdies in six holes (13-18) to tie for 51st at 23-over (84-79-73=236).
- The 878 is the second-best 54-hole team score in program history, four strokes behind the record (874; 2016 Ron Moore Intercollegiate) and 10 strokes ahead of next best score (884, 2018 Briar's Creek Invitational).
