WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University track & field will head to State College, Pennsylvania for the Nittany Lion Challenge. This will be the first meet in the new year for the Blue & Gray.

ABOUT THE GEORGETOWN WOMEN
- In November, the Georgetown women's distance program placed 10th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma last month where Maggie Donahue and Grace Jensen both earned All-America honors.
- In the team's last outing, Donahue broke her own school record in the 5000-meter run clocking a time of 15:43.98. Donahue had set the school record in the event less than a year before she broke it once again by two seconds.
- Eni Akinniyi also broke a school record last time out in the triple jump. Akinniyi came in first place in the event at the VMI Team Challenge with a jump of 12.80m. Akinniyi broke Jennifer McDermott's record that had stood since 1993.

ABOUT THE GEORGETOWN MEN
- The Georgetown men's distance program finished 31st at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
- Matthew Payamps returns for the Blue & Gray after being named a Second Team All-American after last season's NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships for his efforts in the mile.
- Payamps finished first in the men's 800 run at the Sharon Colyear-Danvile Season Opener with a time of 1:48.75. This was the 11th fastest time in school history and was good for the number one time in the nation for a few weeks. Payamps time currently ranks fifth nationally.
