Nicole Massimino were named Preseason All-BIG EAST.
Georgetown earned 29 points from the league's six head coaches as well as one first place vote to sit in second place behind the University of Denver with 36 points and six first place votes. UConn claimed third place with 26 points, followed by Marquette in fourth with 21 points, Villanova landed in fifth place with 18 points, Butler collected 11 points to finish sixth and Xavier rounded out the poll in seventh.

- Last season, she was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
- Geist played in all 18 games for the Hoyas with 21 points, four assists and 20 ground balls.
Erin Bakes
- Graduate- Attacker- Preseason All-BIG EAST
- Bakes played in all 18 games for the Hoyas and started in ten.
- Last season, she was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
- She was also the Blue & Gray's second leading point (49) and goal scorer (35).
Nicole Massimino
- Graduate- Defender- Preseason All-BIG EAST
- Last season, she was named to the All-BIG EAST.
- Masimino started in all 18 games and led the Hoyas with 28 caused turnovers.
- Following a big 20-8 performance against American, Massimino was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on February 14.
