Chloe Scrimgeour who finished eighth.
ON THE RECORD
"Very proud to have both Squads competing at an NCAA XC Championship to close out their season. Maybe not the result we would want from a team perspective but by no means do we need to hang our heads. What a performance from
Chloe Scrimgeour for an 8th place individual finish!! Smart racing and a high-level performance to be among the best XC runners in the country. Looking forward to moving forward and having a successful Indoor & Outdoor Season." – Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
Alton McKenzie
"I am proud of the team this group has become. They represented our alumni, their teammates, and their families with a resilient mentality and competitive spirit all season. Today was not the end result they had in them on their best day, but the highs and lows are part of the story of a fantastic season, and even in those extremes their heart was for the team. Scrimgeour was electric in finishing 8th - just a brilliant race. Donahue closes out arguably the greatest XC career in Hoya history just outside of All-America. With the help of our youngest alumni she has been the engine to our resurgence, and we are grateful for all that she's done for the program. Swenson, Gonzalez, Hennelly and Cummings fought hard to bring us home, and though Riggins was not able to finish, she certainly left it all on the course. Lastly, we were supported by a huge contingent of current athletes, friends, family, and alumni - they were loud and a huge boost to us. We thank them for being there. It was a great day to be a Hoya." – Head Women's Cross Country Coach
