WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team opens the spring slate at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, hosted by Ohio State University, on February 12-14. The three-round tournament will occur over three days at the par-71, 6,017-yard course at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, California.

- Teams will tee off from noon to 2 p.m. ET on the front and back nine on Sunday and Monday for Rounds 1 and 2. Round 3 will be a shotgun start at 11:15 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Hoya lineup: Megan Gormley; Kaitlyn Lees; Lauren May; Gabriella Gilrowski; Angela Lee
- The fall season saw a shortened but efficient Hoya lineup. Gormley took the top Hoya spot in two of the four fall tournaments and finished among the top 10 on the individual leaderboard in both the Princeton Invitational (T4th) and the Pirate Collegiate Classic (T10th).
- Lees did not compete in the fall but during the 2021-22 season, the graduate student competed in 10 tournaments, averaging 76.63 strokes over 30 rounds.
- May turned in a pair of top 50 performances in the fall, finishing T29th at the Pirate Collegiate Classic and T50th at the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Classic.
- Gilrowski had an impressive fall, winning the Pirate Collegiate Classic and finishing second at the Princeton Invitational as the top Hoya finisher in both tournaments.
- Lee opened her collegiate career with a 70 in the first round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge and saw her best tournament finish at the Princeton Invitational when she finished T14th.
THE THERESE HESSION REGIONAL CHALLENGE, PRESENTED BY NORTHROP GRUMMAN
- The Therese Hession Regional Challenge opens the spring season for the Blue & Gray that features five regular season tournaments as well as the BIG EAST Championship.
- This is the 27th year of the tournament and the individual winner will get an invite to the LPGA DIO Implant Open at PVGC March 27-April 2.
