Box Score STATE COLLEGE – The Georgetown University baseball team fell 7-2 to Penn State on Sunday. The Nittany Lions took both games of the series as GU falls to 11-8 on the season.
ON THE RECORD
"One of those days where we couldn't get things going offensively. They scored those four runs in the second and that was tough to overcome as their pitching staff didn't give us too many bases and their defense did a good job. Credit to Penn State, they played well today, and it was a tough day for both teams. At the end of the day, we have to find a way to get more offense going. We had some good outings out of the bullpen today from
Jordan Yoder,
Everett Catlett and
Garret Keough to give us a chance there, but we were unable to get the job done against a good Big Ten team on the road." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
