Box Score
WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell 6-4 to Virginia on Wednesday evening. GU moves to 11-9 on the season while the No. 8/7 Cavaliers improve to 19-2.
ON THE RECORD
"Really proud of our guys today and the fight we showed facing the No. 8 team in the country on the road.
Collin Garner,
Kyle Salley,
Garret Keough,
Jordan Yoder and our bullpen was really good especially in the back part of the game there, they gave us a chance. Our offense scored some runs, and we had the winning run at the plate there so really proud of our guys having the winning run at the plate in the ninth inning is all you can ask for. We didn't do enough defensively today to win the game against a really good team. We were able to win the back part of the game but unfortunately, they were so consistent early, and we weren't able to find the last few runs we needed. I am proud of our guy's effort and how we competed. We are looking forward to being at home for a three-game series this weekend." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
