WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will travel to College Park, Maryland on Tuesday to face Maryland at 4 p.m. GU will then travel to Emmitsburg, Maryland on Wednesday to take on Mount St. Mary's at 3 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- The Hoyas are currently 14-9 after a 3-1 week which saw the Hoyas sweep Dayton after dropping a midweek contest 6-4 to then-No. 8 Virginia.
- Ubaldo Lopez was fantastic this week hitting .533 with four runs scored, eight hits, a double, three home runs and eight RBIs. Lopez had a slugging percentage of 1.200 for the week as well.
- In three games against Dayton, Lopez hit a home run in each contest and hit .636 over the weekend with a 1.455 slugging percentage and a .667 on base percentage.
- Andrew Williams was fantastic for GU on Saturday going 5.2 innings and striking out 12 Dayton batters in a no decision outing for the lefty. GU set a program record on Saturday for strikeouts in a game with 19 breaking the previous record of 18 that was set in 2019 and tied on Friday afternoon.
- Tyler Mead also had a stellar weekend picking up two saves in back-to-back outings for GU. Mead recorded strikeouts in five of the seven outs he accounted for.
ABOUT MARYLAND
- Maryland enters Tuesday's contest with a 14-9 record after winning two out of three games against UCF this past weekend. The Terps dropped game one 4-2 but then took games two and three 16-6 and 8-6, respectively.
- Nick Lorusso leads the Terps at the plate with a .378 average on the season. Lorusso has 37 hits this season with eight doubles and nine home runs. He has a slugging percentage of .735 and an on base percentage of .447 with 36 RBIs on the season.
- Matt Shaw is second on the team in home runs with eight so far this season. He is batting .319 with 29 hits on the season.
- On the mound, Jason Savacool leads the Terps with a 3-3 record and an ERA of 2.43. Savacool has pitched 37 innings this season and struck out 39 batters along the way.
ABOUT MOUNT ST. MARY'S
- Mount St. Mary's currently sits at 10-12 after losing three games to Canisius this past weekend.
- Both Scott Seeker and Aiden Tierney are hitting .350 or better for Mount St. Mary's. Seeker has a .370 average at the plate with 30 hits on the season and six home runs. Tierney has a .359 average with 23 hits on the season and one home run.
- Seeker, David Stirpe and Brady Drawbaugh are all tied for the team lead in home runs with six each.
- Cooper Adams leads the Mount on the mound with a 3-1 record. Adams has a 2.86 ERA in 34.2 innings this season and has struck out 36 batters thus far.
