WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will travel to College Park, Maryland on Tuesday to face Maryland at 6:30 p.m. GU will then travel to Baltimore on Wednesday to take on UMBC at 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- The Hoyas are currently 17-15 after a 1-3 week which saw the Hoyas take one game of the series against Seton Hall and drop a midweek contest to George Mason.
- Georgetown secured its fifth shutout of the season on Saturday in game one which is a new program record for shutouts breaking the record of four that was set in 2013 and tied in 2017.
- Ubaldo Lopez was stellar this week hitting .417 with five hits three of which were doubles. Lopez had a .667 slugging percentage and a .462 on base percentage this week.
- Andrew Williams was fantastic for the Blue & Gray on Saturday going six innings and allowing no runs en route to a 4-0 shutout win.
- Cody Bowker was outstanding on the mound and at the plate. Bowker hit .267 this week hitting a double, triple and his first career home run. Bowker had a slugging percentage of .667. On the mound, Bowker picked up his second save of the season, going three innings and securing the shutout in game one of the doubleheader for the Hoyas. Bowker struck out two while allowing no hits in his outing.
ABOUT MARYLAND
- Maryland enters Tuesday's contest with a 19-12 record after winning two out of three games against Rutgers this past weekend. The Terps took games one and two 6-4 and 4-3, before dropping game three 14-8.
- Nick Lorusso leads the Terps at the plate with a .376 average on the season. Lorusso has 50 hits this season with 10 doubles and 13 home runs. He has a slugging percentage of .744 and an on base percentage of .448 with 48 RBIs on the season.
- Matt Shaw is second on the team in home runs with 11 so far this season. He is batting .347 with 43 hits on the season.
- On the mound, Jason Savacool leads the Terps with a 3-3 record and an ERA of 3.33. Savacool has pitched 48.2 innings this season and struck out 47 batters along the way.
ABOUT UMBC
- The Retrievers currently sits at 13-14 after winning its weekend series against NJIT 2-1.
- Leewood Molessa leads UMBC at the plate with a .350 average on the season. Molessa leads the team in home runs (12), doubles (10) and hits (41).
- Ian Diaz is second on the team in batting average with a .344 and is tied for second on the team in home runs with three and doubles with seven.
- On the mound, Luke Johnson leads the Retrievers with a 3-1 record and a 2.66 ERA. Johnson has struck out a team-high 48 batters this season.

The Blue & Gray will host the Creighton Bluejays this weekend in a three-game series. Game one will be Friday, April 14 at Washington Nationals Youth Academy. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m.
