WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team closes out a five-game homestand with a BIG EAST showdown against Providence on Saturday at noon. The 10th-ranked Hoyas will honor 19 graduate students and seniors before the game on Senior Day.

About Georgetown
- The Hoyas are 5-3 on the year, winning five-straight games following a 13-6 win over then-No. 13/16 Denver in the BIG EAST opener last Saturday.
- Graham Bundy Jr. led Georgetown with four goals while Brian Minicus and Nicky Solomon both had two goals and an assist.
- Jacob Kelly added a goal and two assists while Tucker Dordevic, Declan McDermott, James Reilly and Jordan Wray each had a goal and an assist.
- Reilly put together a stellar performance, taking all but one faceoff and winning 15 of 22 (.681) on the day to go with nine ground balls. He reached 800 career faceoff wins, becoming just the 13th NCAA Division I player to hit the milestone.
- Defensively, the Hoyas were credited with 10 caused turnovers with five coming from Will Bowen and two each from Dordevic and Wallace Halpert.
- Georgetown's defense held the Pioneers scoreless for spans of 22:23, 10:49 and 15:12 in the game. Denver did not score in the fourth quarter and managed just two shots in the frame. The Blue & Gray dominated possession with 40 ground balls compared to Denver's 18 and also outshot their guests 46 to 23 on the day.
- In goal, Michael Scharfenberger earned the win to improve to 5-0 on the season and 8-0 in his career on the Hilltop. He collected eight saves to go with three ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Dordevic leads the Hoyas with 29 points (24G, 5A) while Brian Minicus has 25 (17G, 8A) and Graham Bundy Jr. has 20 (17G, 3A). Declan McDermott is good for 14 (10G, 4A), Jacob Kelly has 14 as well (7G, 7A), Solomon adds 12 (7G, 5A) and Patrick Crogan has 11 (7G, 4A).
- Reilly has won 108-of-199 (.543) faceoffs while collecting 75 ground balls. He has hauled in at least 10 ground balls in five of Georgetown's eight games this season.
- Defensively, Bowen has been credited with 18 caused turnovers to lead the BIG EAST with 2.25 a game. Halpert adds 13 and Tominovich chips in 12.
- In goal, Scharfenberger has posted a 5-0 record with a 10.37 goals-against average to go with a .480 save percentage and 48 total saves.
- As a team, Georgetown leads the nation in man-up offense, converting at a .733 rate. The Hoyas are also top-10 nationally in ground balls per game (second overall, 38.50), clearing (fifth overall, .912) and caused turnovers per game (ninth overall, 10.12).
Scouting Providence
- The Friars are 5-5 on the year and are coming off of a 16-14 win over Marquette in their BIG EAST opener.
- Ryan Bell leads Providence with 42 points (16G, 26A) while Jack Horrigan adds 30 (23G, 7A) and Michael Chabra has 25 (23G, 2A).
- Providence's main faceoff specialist, Quinn McConnaughey, is 62-124 (.500) with 31 ground balls on the season while Tom Fegley is 37-94 (.394).
- On the defensive end, Grant Latimer has been credited with 10 caused turnovers and adds 17 ground balls.
- In goal, James Corasaniti has started all 10 games of the season for the Friars. He owns a 13.33 GAA and a .532 save percentage to go with 142 saves on the year.

- The Hoyas and Friars have played 17 times with Georgetown owning a 15-2 series advantage.
