WASHINGTON – Georgetown University women's openweight crew had one rower named to the rowing Academic All-Patriot League teams, as announced by the league office on Monday. Sophomore Amrit Chapman earned Academic All-Patriot League honors for the first time.

Champman raced in the Hoyas' second varsity 8+ boat at the 2023 Patriot League Women's Rowing Championship, which was held on May 12 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The 2V8+ boat finished fourth with a time of 7:03.050.

To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
