WASHINGTON – Five Georgetown University men's lacrosse standouts earned United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America honors, as announced by the organization on Thursday.
Tucker Dordevic was a first team selection, both
Will Bowen and
Graham Bundy Jr. collected second team honors, and
Dylan Hess and
Brian Minicus garnered honorable mention accolades.
Dordevic is the 15th Hoya in program history to garner USILA First Team All-America recognition. Also a Tewaaraton Award Finalist, he was previously named a second team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine and a third team media All-American by Inside Lacrosse. Dordevic set career highs in points (78), goals (65), assists (13), shooting percentage (.349), game-winning goals (4), man up goals (6), ground balls (29) and caused turnovers (5) while breaking the Georgetown record for goals in a season during his debut campaign with the Hoyas. He was also named the BIG EAST Attack Player of the Year, All-BIG EAST First Team and the BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player. This is Dordevic's third career USILA All-America nod after third team selections in 2022 and 2021.
Bowen adds another second team All-America honor to his resume following his second team media All-America recognition by Inside Lacrosse along with a third team selection by USA Lacrosse Magazine. He concluded his collegiate career with 98 career caused turnovers, 22nd most in NCAA Division I history. Bowen was also a Tewaaraton Award Nominee, the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year and an All-BIG EAST First Team selection while being named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team. This is Bowen's third career USILA All-America nod after earning first team honors in both 2021 and 2022.
Bundy also picks up another second team All-American honor as he was also a second team All-American earlier this year by USA Lacrosse Magazine and a third team media All-American by Inside Lacrosse. His 44 points (32G, 12A) have lifted him into the top-10 at Georgetown in career points and goals. Bundy was also named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List and was an All-BIG EAST First Team selection, becoming one of just three Hoyas to earn the honor three times in a career. This is Bundy's third USILA All-America nod after collecting second team honors in 2021 and first team accolades in 2022.
Hess earns his second career USILA All-American nod, posting career bests in caused turnovers (14) and ground balls (30) after making the transition from a true two-way midfielder to a full-time short-stick defensive midfielder. He was a key component of a Georgetown squad that ranked second in the nation in ground balls per game (38.65) and fourth in clearing (.916). Hess was also an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection this year and was a USILA Honorable Mention All-American as a freshman in 2021.
Minicus earns his second All-America honor this season to go with his honorable mention media All-American selection by Inside Lacrosse. He has tallied 35 goals to go with 23 assists for 58 points this season. Minicus' two game-winning goals this season lifted the Hoyas to the BIG EAST Championship against Denver and into the NCAA Quarterfinals in a first round victory over Yale. He was also an All-BIG EAST Second Team honoree. This is Minicus' first career USILA All-America nod.
