ON THE RECORD
"Congrats to UConn they played great today and their pitcher dominated again. He has our number, and we tip our cap to him and their whole organization. They have been a staple in our league for a while and ultimately that is where we want to be. I am just really proud of this group; the end of the season is always hard, but I am really proud of how we competed all year long. To get to this point from 6-25 to back-to-back seasons making postseason play is really special. We had a great group of seniors that led us, and it is always hard at the end, but I am really proud of them and I am proud of everyone in the organization. I am really proud of Ubaldo Lopez, breaking the all-time home run record and the single season record he set last year is unbelievable. We will have time to reflect on our season later but right now we just wish UConn and Xavier the best of luck in the post season. I am just really proud of this group and thankful to be the head coach of this organization." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
