Georgetown Track & Field / Cross Country Nabs 10 CSC Academic All-District Honors

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's track & field / cross country program garnered 10 honors (5 men / 5 women) to the College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.
 
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have competed in at least half of their team's games / meets as a starter or significant contributor, with a limit of five per institution.
 
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced at the end of June.

The Hoyas will send Riggins and Scrimgeour to the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held June 7-10, at the University of Texas in Austin. Both will be competing in the semifinals of their events.
