WASHINGTON – Georgetown graduate student
Jake Bloss was tabbed as a third team All-American selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Friday. This is the first time in program history that a pitcher has been named an All-American by two separate outlets in the same season.

- The Greensboro, North Carolina native was superb for the Hoyas this season earning BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year honors at the conclusion of the regular season.
- The graduate student was tabbed as a second team All-America by Collegiate Baseball newspaper earlier this offseason.
- Bloss set a record for second most strikeouts in a season in program history with 96, just one short of the all-time record of 97.
- Bloss boasted an 8-4 record and had a 2.58 ERA in 76.2 innings on the mound this season.
- The graduate student held his opponents to a .210 batting average this season.

- Bloss is ranked #174 in the MLB's top 200 prospects that was released on Monday.
