WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's women's and men's cross country teams competed in the Virginia Invitational this Saturday morning. The No. 12 women's team finished fifth behind an impressive second-place finish from All-American Chloe Scrimgeour. Two-time All-American Parker Stokes led the men's team in its second outing of the season.
 
 
 No. 12 WOMEN CONTINUE TO COMPETE (5th, 204 points) – 5,000-meters

• Chloe Scrimgeour finished less than a second behind first, earning a second place finish with a 16:19.7 time.
• Sophomore Melissa Riggins also finished in the top 20, earning a 13th place finish with her 16:39.3 run.

MEN HANG TOUGH (22nd, 494 points) – 8,000-meters

• Parker Stokes was Georgetown's top finisher, finishing with a 24:00.6 to come in 50th in the large field.
• Abel Teffra (85th) and Matthew Rizzo (89th) also finished in the top 100.
