ON THE RECORD
"What a show of depth by our men in the 1K at the Hokie Invitational with four men under 2:20, and a new NCAA Record by freshman
Tinoda Matsatsa, running a blistering 2:18.05 for the 1K. It certainly highlighted a great weekend of Hoya Performances.
Melissa Riggins also showed a lot of grit to take the win in the Women's 1K, running 2:40.67, which makes her the third fastest collegiate ever over the distance. I also want to highlight a weekend of PBs and Collegiate best for
Rebecca Ochan who has fought her way back from injuries; 7.65 in her 1st 60m in college and a huge PB in the 300m running 38.95 seconds, to now be the 2nd fastest Woman in Georgetown's record books in the 300m. I'm eally proud of the effort across the board by our men & women as we continue building for what's in store the rest of this indoor season."- Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
