WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University softball team has announced its 2024 spring schedule presented by MedStar Health. The team will compete from February 9 through May 11 and play 48 games with 13 of those being played at home at the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy.
The Hoyas will open the season competing at Florida Gulf Coast from February 9-11. Georgetown will open against Louisville and Florida Gulf Coast on the 9th, before facing off against Boston College and Louisville on the 10th. The Hoyas will close out the weekend against Long Island on the 11th.
Georgetown will then head to Greenville, South Carolina from February 16-18 to compete in its second tournament of the season. The Blue & Gray will open the weekend against Lipscomb and IUPUI on the 16th. On the 17th, the Hoyas will face off against IUPUI and Furman and then close out the weekend on the 18th against Towson.
GU will next travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee from February 23-25. Georgetown will start the weekend against Ohio and UTC on the 23rd. The Hoyas will then compete against UT-Martina and Valparaiso University on the 24th. On the 25th, the Blue & Gray will conclude the weekend against Texas A&M CC.
Georgetown will compete in its final tournament of the season in Nashville, Tennessee from March 1-3. The Hoyas will match up against North Dakota State and Murray State on the 1st before facing off against Lipscomb and Murray State again on the 2nd. Georgetown will finish the weekend on the 3rd with a rematch against North Dakota State.
The Hoyas will play their first home match against Boston College on March 6th. The Hoyas will then open BIG EAST play in Chicago, Illinois in a three game series vs. DePaul from March 8-10.
GU will play their its BIG EAST series at home from March 15-17 against Seton Hall.
The Blue & Gray will return to the road to play a series against Villanova in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from March 22-24 before heading to Omaha, Nebraska to compete against Creighton from Mar. 28-30.
The Hoyas will next play two non-conference games, first against Towson on April 2 and then George Mason on April 10. Georgetown will return home to continue conference play against Butler from April 12-14.
Georgetown will head down the road to face off against George Washington on April 17. The Hoyas will then return home to play a weekend series against St. John's from April 19-21.
The Blue & Gray will travel for the final time to Providence, Rhode Island to compete against Providence from April 26-28. They will then compete at home in their final weekend series of the year from May 3-5 against UCONN. Their match on May 4th will be the Hoyas senior day.
