WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will head out for its first road contest of the season as the Hoyas travel to Madison, Wisconsin to take on the University of Wisconsin Badgers on Sunday afternoon at the Kohl Center. The opening tip is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.

• Georgetown is 1-0 on the season after an 88-31 season opening victory over Virginia University-Lynchburg at McDonough Arena on Wednesday afternoon.
• Junior Victoria Rivera was one of five Hoyas in double figures with a career-best 19 points including a 5-of-9 performance from beyond the arc.
• Graduate student Kelsey Ransom added 16 points and eight boards, senior Ariel Jenkins had 10 points and seven rebounds.
• GU boasted a pair of double-doubles as freshman Khadee Hession had 11 points, 10 rebounds and a squad-high nine steals, while classmate Alexia Araujo-Dagba had 10 points and as many boards in the game.
• The Blue & Gray shot 52.9% (9-17) from the field, and Georgetown held the Dragons to 18.5% (10-54) shooting.
• GU outrebounded VUL 56-28, and Georgetown forced 22 Dragon turnovers on 13 steals.
• Ransom earned BIG EAST Conference Preseason honors at the league's annual women's basketball media day held at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Hoyas were also picked to finish fifth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll, receiving 66 points.

• Wisconsin opened the season on Tuesday with a 95-68 victory over Wright State.
• Serah Williams led the way with a 29-point and 12-rebound double-double, while Ronnie Porter managed a career-high 19 points.
• UW had just seven turnovers and shot 45.6 percent in the win.
