WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's basketball junior guard
Jayden Epps was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the league office in New York on Monday. The honor comes after a 2-0 week for Georgetown as the Blue & Gray defeated Creighton 81-57 and Seton Hall 61-60 on the road in the opening week of BIG EAST action.
JAYDEN EPPS (JUNIOR / GUARD / 6-2 / 190 / Norfolk, Va.)
- In a 2-0 week for the Blue & Gray, Jayden Epps averaged 18.0 ppg on 47.8% (11-23) shooting. The junior went 6-for-11 (54.5%) from downtown while chipping in 3.0 rpg, 2.5 apg and 2.0 spg.
- He led the team with 21 points in a commanding 81-57 win over Creighton to open BIG EAST play.
- He followed up with 15 points at Seton Hall, helping the Hoyas hold on for the 61-60 road win.
- Epps scored his 1,000th point of his collegiate career on a 3-pointer to put the Hoyas up 52-38 with 13:44 remaining in the game against Creighton.
- The junior tallied his fourth game with 20 or more points this season against the Bluejays. Epps has also scored in double figures in 10 of 12 contests thus far.
- This is the third accolade of the season for Epps as he was named to the Honor Roll on November 25 and Player of the Week on December 16.
- On the season, Epps is averaging 15.9 ppg on 45.9% shooting from the floor and 39.0% from behind the arc

Georgetown will take a break for the holiday before returning to action on Saturday, December 28 as the Hoyas host their final home game of 2024 when Coppin State visits Capital One Arena.
