ON THE RECORD
"What a Friday night baseball game. For us to come out of here with a victory, I am really proud of our guys and the way we fought. Right from the start we were going to come out swinging and we did as we knew their pitcher wasn't going to give us much to hit.
Christian Ficca did a great job in the first inning getting that two-run home run and then
Marcello Mastroianni really settled in and gave us great length in the game.
Andrew Citron and
Marshall Whitmer behind him were just electric and they both did a great job of not walking guys too much. Then we had that big inning there with
Blake Schaaf getting a big hit for us off the bench which was great. We played really good defense today and overall, it was a really good day for the Hoyas and I am proud of how we competed."" - Head Coach
