WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's 10th-ranked men's lacrosse team closes out its 2024 nonconference schedule on the road at No. 18/17 Richmond in a top-20 showdown on Saturday evening. The Hoyas look for their sixth-straight win of the season while the Spiders host their fourth nationally-ranked opponent of the year to Robins Stadium.

About Georgetown
- The Hoyas (5-2) are coming off a 21-9 home victory over Dartmouth in midweek action following a rare two-week layoff.
- Thirteen different Hoyas scored a goal against Dartmouth in the game. Aidan Carroll led the Blue & Gray with three goals and four assists while Vardaro added three goals and two assists.
- Graham Bundy Jr. and Joe Cesare both tallied three goals with an assist and Kade Goldberg chipped in a goal with two assists and Wallace Halpert added a goal, an assist and two caused turnovers.
- James Ball won 14-of-22 (.636) faceoffs and collected six ground balls.
- Defensively, Georgetown's defense held its sixth-straight opponent to 10 goals or fewer. In goal, Anderson Moore (5-2) had 10 saves in cage for the win, allowing just seven goals in just over 50 minutes of action.
- On the season, Carroll leads the Hoyas in scoring with 25 points (18G, 7A) while TJ Haley adds 24 points (5G, 19A) and and Bundy adds 21 (15G, 6A) points. Vardaro has 17 points (12G, 5A), Jordan Wray adds 12 (11G, 1A) and Cesare has 10 (7G, 3A) to round out the players in double figures.
- At the 'X', Ball has won 84 of 136 (.618) faceoffs and collected 43 ground balls in six games this season.
- Defensively, the Blue & Gray have held their opponents to 10 goals or less in each of the past five games.
- Halpert has been credited with nine caused turnovers while Hess has eight. Ty Banks has tallied five while Wesley Chairs, Carroll and Seamus Foley each have three.
- In goal, Moore has a 9.79 goals-against average to go with a .518 save percentage and 72 saves.
Scouting Richmond
- The Spiders are 5-3 to start the season with their only losses coming against top-10 opponents in Maryland, Virginia and Duke.
- Dalton Young leads Richmond with 41 points (20G, 21A) followed by Luke Grayum (21G, 6A) and Aidan O'Neil (15G, 12A) with 27 points each.
- Defensively, Tommy Stull has been credited with 11 caused turnovers to go with 19 ground balls.
- In goal, Zach Vigue has taken the reins between the pipes. He has a 7.73 GAA to go with 81 saves and a .633 save percentage in seven starts this season.
- On faceoffs, Jared Chenoy has taken the lion's share of the attempts and has won 83 of 166 (.532) to go with 39 ground balls.
Series History
- Georgetown and Richmond will meet for just the sixth time on Saturday with the Hoyas owning a 5-0 lead in the series.
- The Hoyas have won the past two meetings 15-10 in Richmond in 2022 and 13-12 on the Hilltop last year.
- The three previous Georgetown victories came before the Spiders jumped to the Division I ranks in 2014.
