WASHINGTON –Georgetown University's women's rowing program competed at the Georges Cup on Sunday taking second overall in Fairfax Station, Virginia. The squad contested two cups in the annual tri-race held between Georgetown, George Mason and George Washington.
The Hoyas and George Washington tied with 15 points apiece, but in the event of a tie, the winner is determined by the first varsity 8+. Overall, GU won four of the five races, but due to the points distribution GU came in second.
The Blue & Gray also contested the 1998 Cup, the annual cup race between GW and Georgetown only contested by the 1V8.
