Box Score WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the No. 1 Wake Forest Demon Deacons 11-9 on Tuesday evening. With the loss the Hoyas slide to 6-6 on the season while the Deacs improve to 11-1.
ON THE RECORD
"Congrats to Wake Forest, they played much better than we did today. We didn't play good defense, and unfortunately gave them too many free bases today, but we will get that fixed. I thought
Everett Catlett gave us a good start today on the mound. It was great to see
Keith Savoy Jr. off the bench giving us a couple big hits that we needed. Obviously, we are disappointed in the result but at the end of the day, playing on the road against the No. 1 team in the country, to have the winning run up in the ninth that's a good thing in some ways but we have to keep getting better. We will regroup and get ready for this weekend."– Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
