Women’s Lacrosse Travels to Marquette

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (5-9, 3-1 BE) will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to take on BIG EAST foe Marquette (5-9, 1-2 BE) on Saturday, April 13. The first draw is set for 1 p.m. EST on Valley Field. 

About the Hoyas
  • The Blue & Gray is coming off of a 18-10 win over Butler on the road on Saturday afternoon. 
  • In the win 10 Hoyas recorded at least one goal in the victory. Emma Gebhardt earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for leading the GU offense with four goals and one assist against the Bulldogs. 
  • The Hoyas outshot the Musketeers 36-24 and held Butler to two shots on goal in the first quarter.
  • Gracie Driggs leads the offense with 34 points (33 G, 1 A) while Gebhardt follows with 30 points (24 G, 6 A).
  • Maggie O'Brien leads the Blue & Gray with 42 draw controls followed by Lily Athanas with 41 and Driggs with 38.
  • Tatum Geist paces the Hoyas with 16 caused turnovers while Maley Starr has 13.

About the Golden Eagles
  • Marquette is coming off of a 20-6 road loss to the then No. 13 Denver on Saturday afternoon. 
  • Meg Bireley leads the Golden Eagles with 58 points (54 G, 4 A) followed by Leigh Steiner with 53 points (39 G, 14 A). 
  • Josie Kropp commands the circle for the MU with 114 draw controls. 
  • In net, Brynna Nixon has started in 13 games for the Golden Eagles and totals 170 saves for a .336 save percentage.

  • Saturday's contest will be the 14th all-time meeting for the Hoyas and the Golden Eagles.
