WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics held its annual GUSY Awards on Monday evening at Lohrfink Auditorium. The GUSYs is an annual celebration of Georgetown student-athletes that includes five awards created by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and voted on by GU athletes, coaches and administrators.
Hoya Spirit Award

- The Hoya Spirit award recognizes two student-athletes, one from a women's program and one from a men's program, who demonstrate enthusiasm, integrity, commitment, and pride in being a Georgetown student-athlete and a member of their team. Through their behavior, attitude, and example, these individuals have made a remarkable impact on their team and the broader Georgetown community.
Lasting Legacy Award

- The Lasting Legacy Award recognizes two graduating student-athletes, one from a women's program and one from a men's program, who are role models for their team and Georgetown Athletics. These individuals embody excellence, integrity and the 150-year old mission of Georgetown athletics and the overall Georgetown community.
