WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team closes out the 2024 regular season on the road and under the lights at Villanova on Friday, April 26. The 11th-ranked Hoyas (9-3, 3-1 BIG EAST) and the Wildcats (8-5, 2-2 BIG EAST) are vying for the second overall seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Championships, Presented by JEEP next week.

• Opening faceoff for Friday's game is set for 7 p.m. and will be shown on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Nick Mantegna and Ben Curtis calling the action.

About Georgetown
• Georgetown is coming off a 20-6 win over St. John's to clinch a berth in the upcoming BIG EAST Championships.
• Thirteen different Georgetown players scored a goal on the day, including six with at least a pair.

Graham Bundy Jr. led the Hoyas with three goals and two assists while
Aidan Carroll and
Jack Schubert both had two goals and two assists.

TJ Haley each tallied two goals with an assist.
• Georgetown won 18 of 29 (.620) faceoffs including 9 of 13 (.692) from
James Ball, 7 of 12 (.583) from
John Dixon and 2 of 4 (.500) from
Matthew Riley. The trio combined for 10 ground balls.
• Defensively, Georgetown's defense held its 10th-straight opponent to 10 goals or fewer.

Ty Banks was credited with two caused turnovers and two ground balls while Godine had a caused turnover and five ground balls.
Charlie McGurrin led all Hoyas with six ground balls.
• In goal,
Anderson Moore (9-3) had eight saves in just under 40 minutes of action and left the game with GU leading 18-3 in the third quarter.
• For their efforts, Bundy was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, Moore was selected the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the sixth time this season and Godine earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
• On the season, Carroll leads the Hoyas with 42 points (27G, 15A) while Haley has 40 (11G, 29A) and Bundy adds 36 points (25G, 11A) with
Alexander Vardaro chipping in 31 points (24G, 7A).
• At the 'X', Ball has won 133 of 222 (.599) faceoffs to rank 10th nationally and has collected 70 ground balls in 12 games.
• Defensively, Banks has been credited with 15 caused turnovers while Halpert has 13,
Dylan Hess has 11 and
Seamus Foley adds 10.
• In goal, Moore boasts a 9.21 goals-against average – eighth best in the NCAA – to go with a .533 save percentage and 121 saves.
Scouting Villanova
• The Wildcats are coming off of a 12-6 win at Marquette to earn their spot in the upcoming BIG EAST Championships.
• Matt Licata leads Villanova with 49 points (31G, 18A) while Colin Michener adds 41 points (34G, 7A), Mason Reale has 29 points (11G, 18A) and Thomas McIntire chips in 27 points (12G, 15A).
• On faceoffs, Justin Coppola has won 128-of-204 (.627) but hasn't played since being injured against Brown on March 25. In his stead, Ryan Cunningham has taken on primary faceoff duties and has won 38-of-74 (.514).
• Defensively, Stephen Zupicich has been credited with 39 caused turnovers and collected 48 ground balls so far this season.
• In goal, Anthony Wilson has started all 13 games and has a 10.31 GAA to go with 128 saves and a .492 save percentage.
Series History
• Friday's meeting will be the 42nd all-time between the two programs with the Hoyas holding a narrow 21-20 series lead.
• Georgetown has won the past nine meetings and are 10-12 all-time on a road in the series.
• Villanova's last win came at Georgetown during the 2017 season.
