WASHINGTON – Georgetown's Christian Ficca was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Teammate Cody Bowker was named to the Weekly Honor Roll as well, marking the second time this season that A Hoya has won Player of the Week, and a pitcher was named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
 
 
Christian Ficca | 1B, Sr.

• Ficca was sensational in a 3-0 week for the Hoyas, slashing .500/.688/.900.
• The senior tallied five hits, four runs scored, one double, a home run and eight RBIs on the week. Ficca also chipped in a team-high six walks on the week.
• This is Ficca's second honor of the season as he was named to the Weekly Honor Roll on March 4.

 
Cody Bowker | RHP, So.

• The Bowdoinham, Maine native was excellent on Saturday for the Hoyas tossing six innings en route to his fourth win of the season on the mound.
• Bowker allowed four hits and two earned runs while fanning eight Bluejay batters along the way.
• This is Bowker's first honor of the season. Saturday's outing was the longest of the season for Bowker as the righty dealt with an injury earlier in the season.
