WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will square off with James Madison and George Mason in midweek contests. GU will take on JMU on Tuesday, April 30 in Harrisonburg, Virginia with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m. GU will then return to Capital One Park to take on George Mason on Wednesday, May 1 at 3 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown (29-13) enters the contests after a 3-0 week where the Hoyas swept Creighton in a two-game series as game three was canceled due to weather.
- The Hoyas won their ninth weekend series of the season against Creighton as the Hoyas are now 10-4 in BIG EAST action.
- Christian Ficca leads GU at the plate slashing .360/.478/.622. Ficca has tallied 59 hits, 13 doubles, 10 home runs and 55 RBIs on the season, a mark good for 30th in the nation.
- GU is third in the country in saves with 18 trailing only Arkansas (20) and Western Kentucky (19). GU also leads the nation in pickoffs with 16. The Hoya pitching staff boasts a 4.52 ERA, a mark good for first in the conference.
- GU leads the BIG EAST in base on balls (232), double plays (41) a mark good for 13th nationally. GU is second in doubles (93), first in hits (437), first in hits allowed per nine innings (8.32), first in runs (336), first in slugging percentage (.480), first in WHIP (1.44) and second in walks allowed per nine innings (4.12).
- Andrew Williams and Everett Catlett lead the Hoyas on the mound as Williams boasts a 4-1 record and a conference best 2.37 ERA. Catlett is third in the conference in ERA at 2.93 and boasts a 5-1 record with two saves and 63 strikeouts across 58.1 innings of action.
ABOUT JMU
- James Madison (25-18) is coming off a 1-2 weekend as the Dukes dropped two out of three against South Alabama. JMU's lone win of the series was a 10-3 victory on Saturday.
- Fenwick Trimble leads JMU at the plate slashing .371/.445/.623. Fenwick has 48 runs scored, 65 hits, 12 doubles, one triple and 10 home runs to go with 44 RBIs.
- Donovan Burke leads the Dukes on the mound with a 5-0 record and a 3.36 ERA in 61.2 innings of action. Burke has allowed 23 earned runs while striking out 44.
ABOUT GEORGE MASON
- George Mason (18-23) is coming off a 1-2 weekend as the Patriots took one game against VCU 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.
- Jordan Smith paces the Mason offense slashing .364/.457/.623 on the season. Smith has tallied 38 runs scored, 56 hits, 16 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 39 RBIs.
- Ryan Peterson leads George Mason on the mound with a 2-1 record and a 4.84 ERA. Peterson has allowed 24 earned runs while striking out 27 on the season.
