WASHINGTON – Four Georgetown University men's lacrosse players earned BIG EAST Weekly Honors, as announced by the league office on Monday. Anderson Moore was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week while James Ball, Ty Banks and Graham Bundy Jr. each earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following a 12-4 win over Villanova to clinch the second seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Championships, Presented by JEEP.
 
Moore won his 10th game between the pipes against the Wildcats, collecting seven saves to go with four ground balls and a caused turnover. He has allowed just seven goals combined in the last two games for the Hoyas. Villanova's four goals are the lowest allowed by the Blue & Gray this season.
 
Ball won 12-of-18 (.667) faceoffs and collected four ground balls against Villanova. He has won at least 60 percent of his faceoffs in eight games this season and has now won BIG EAST weekly honors four times.
 
Banks was credited with a pair of caused turnovers and hauled in three ground balls against the Wildcats. The Hoyas held the Wildcats scoreless for spans of 13:01 and 37:01 throughout the game and Georgetown's defense has now held 12-straight opponents to 10 goals or fewer.
 
Bundy led the Hoyas with four goals against Villanova. He has now scored at least a hat trick in six games this season and 27 times during his career. With 150 career goals, he is just three shy of tying Daniel Bucaro (C'19) for second most all-time at Georgetown
