Box Score WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team dropped Tuesday's contest at James Madison 13-12. With the setback, the Hoyas slide to 29-14 on the season while JMU improves to 26-18.
ON THE RECORD
"What a great college baseball game between two really good teams. James Madison is one of the best teams we have played this year, they are well coached and a very good team. I thought it was one of those games, we were able to bring it within one in the ninth but couldn't get the tying run home. I am proud of our guys and the way we competed through another delay and the way we showed up tonight. We didn't defend like we would have hoped to but we had a lot of hits tonight which was good to see. I thought
Nick Davis and
Jordan Yoder were solid out of the bullpen tonight and gave us a chance in the back part of the game. Unfortunately, we didn't do enough to get the win tonight but we will regroup and get ready for another test tomorrow against George Mason." – Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
