WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will travel to Queens, New York to face the St. John's Red Storm in the Hoyas final regular season series. Game one is scheduled for Thursday, May 16 with first pitch coming at 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown (32-18) is coming off a 4-3 victory on Tuesday night over Boston College. The win marked the Hoyas 32nd of the 2024 campaign tying the program record for most wins in a season (32) which was set in 2022. Head Coach Edwin Thompson also earned his 100th career victory on the Hilltop reaching the milestone in only 194 games.
- Christian Ficca leads GU at the plate slashing .359/.466/.615 on the season. Ficca leads the team in hits with 70, is second in doubles with 15 and leads the team in RBIs with 62 on the season.
- Andrew Williams and Everett Catlett lead GU on the mound as Williams boasts a 4-2 record while Catlett is 6-1 on the season. Williams boasts a 2.75 ERA in 55.2 innings of action, a mark good for second in the conference. Catlett boasts a 3.06 ERA in 67.2 innings on the mound.
- GU is currently tied for second in the country in saves with 19 and is second in the conference in ERA (4.75).
- GU leads the BIG EAST in base on balls (269), batting average (.294), double plays (45), a mark good for 20th nationally. GU is second in the BIG EAST in doubles (108), second in ERA (4.75), second in hits (514), first in on base percentage (.407), first in runs (397), first in scoring (7.9 rpg) and first in slugging percentage (.487).
- Jake Hyde is tied for the league lead in doubles with 19, Ficca is third in the conference in hits (70) and first in RBIs with 62, Owen Carapellotti is second in the BIG EAST in home runs (14), Nick Davis is tied for first in the conference in saves with seven and Michael Eze is first in stolen bases with 32.
- Carapellotti was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after a stellar week for the Blue & Gray. Carapellotti slashed .438/.550/1.313 on the week with seven hits, two doubles, four homers and nine RBIs. The junior chipped in three walks and scored eight runs for GU.
- Joe Hollerbach has been on a tear for GU recording a hit in 17 straight games. Hollerbach's last outing without a hit was April 10 against Towson.
ABOUT ST. JOHN'S
- St. John's (33-14-1) enters the contest after dropping a midweek game to Fairfield 5-4 at home on Tuesday afternoon.
- Blake Mayberry leads the Red Storm at the plate slashing .363/.467/.471 on the season. Mayberry has tallied 57 hits, 12 doubles, one triple, one home run and 32 RBIs. The senior has also chipped in a team-high 30 walks.
- Mario Pesca leads the Johnnies on the mound with a 2.62 ERA and a 6-1 record. Pesca has been lights out across his 65.1 innings of work allowing only 19 earned runs while striking out 46.
