WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will host the Xavier Musketeers for a three-game series this weekend at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium on the campus of the University of Maryland. Game one is slated for Friday, May 10 with first pitch coming at 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown (30-16) enters the weekend series having secured its 30th win of the season on Tuesday evening against UMBC in an 11-6 victory. GU has now won 30 games in three-consecutive seasons for the first time in program history.
- Last season, GU took two out of three against Xavier. GU's victory in game three secured the Hoyas spot in the BIG EAST Championships for the second-consecutive season.
- Christian Ficca leads GU at the plate slashing .348/.463/.596 on the season. The senior has 62 hits, 38 runs scored, 14 doubles, 10 home runs and a team-best 57 RBIs to go with 32 walks.
- On the mound, GU is led by Everett Catlett and Andrew Williams. The duo has a combined 9-3 record and has been sensational for the Blue & Gray this season. Catlett boasts a 5-1 record and a 2.98 ERA while Williams is 4-2 with a league-best 2.72 ERA on the season.
- Georgetown leads the BIG EAST in base on balls (252), a mark good for 47th nationally. GU leads the conference in double plays (43), which ranks 17th nationally, hits (474), good for 66th in the country, runs (363) and slugging percentage (.483). The Blue & Gray is tied for second in ERA (4.71) and second in walks allowed per nine innings (4.62).
ABOUT XAVIER
- Xavier (26-22) enters the weekend series coming off a midweek victory over Miami (Ohio) where the Musketeers secured a 12-11 win.
- Carter Hendrickson leads Xavier at the plate slashing .301/.395/.485 on the season. Hendrickson has tallied 41 hits, 13 doubles, four home runs and 15 RBIs to go with 16 walks.
- On the mound, Jonathan Kelly leads the Musketeers with a 2-1 record and a 3.28 ERA. Kelly has allowed 18 earned runs across 49.1 innings of action and has struck out 36 on the season.
