WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team had a quartet of student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team as announced by CSC on Tuesday.
Andrew Williams,
Jake Hyde,
Andrew Citron and
Joe Hollerbach were the four Hoyas who garnered recognition.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 2.
Hollerbach was selected as a CSC Academic All-America finalist. If Hollerbach is selected as an Academic All-American, it would be the first time in program history that the Hoyas have had a student-athlete earn the honor.
