WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team continues the 2024 fall season at the Cavalier Regional Preview, hosted by the University of Virginia. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is being held on the par-71, 6,320-yard course at Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville. The Hoyas will be one of 12 teams competing in the two-day tournament.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Leading the Hoya lineup will be Megan Gormley, who closed the 54-hole Cougar Classic at 10-over 223 (75-73-75) to tie for 57th. Gormley tallied a trio of birdies in the final round, totaling a squad-best nine (3/round) for the tournament. For the day, she managed eight pars for a three-round total of 27 (8/11/8). For her efforts, Gormley was named the BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week on September 11.
- At the Cougar Classic, Georgia Ruffolo closed the three-round tournament with her best round, shooting a 2-over 73 for a 14-over 227 (76-78-73), enough to tie for 72nd overall. She matched Gormley's three birdies in the final round for seven total (1/3/3) while also adding 10 pars on the day for 29 over all three rounds (12/7/10).
- Charlotte Hillary managed a 19-over 232 (78-75-79) over the two days in the Lowcountry in her last outing. She tallied one birdie in the final round, totaling five over two days (2/2/1) while chipping in nine pars in the final round for 26 total (7/10/9).
- Gabriella Eifrig closed her first collegiate tournament at 21-over 234 (75-79-80) following three rounds of play. The freshman totaled two birdies over all three rounds (1/1/0) and added 11 pars in the final round for a total of 32 (11/10/11).
- Rounding out the Hoya squad in Charleston was Catherine Qiu, who placed 93rd at 33-over 246 (82-86-78). Qiu totaled three birdies over two days (1/0/2) while chipping in 10 pars on Tuesday, recording her best round of the tournament. She totaled 26 pars (8/8/10) for the three rounds.
- Making her 2024-25 debut will be Claire Chen competing as an individual. During her freshman campaign, Chen averaged 76.00 strokes per round, managing one round under par and one at par.
