WASHINGTON – Senior Maja Lardner was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday. Lardner scored the lone Hoya goal against the Bluejays lifting GU to a 1-0 victory. For her efforts in goal, Cara Martin earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

• Lardner was sensational against Creighton on Sunday in GU's first conference game of the season. The Dallas, Texas native scored her team-best fifth goal of the season in the second half lifting GU to victory over the Bluejays.
• The senior tallied a team-high three shots on goal while playing 77 minutes on Sunday. GU outshot the Bluejays 16-5 en route to the 1-0 victory.
• This is Lardner's second time winning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week this season and her third honor of the 2024 campaign.

• Martin was fantastic in goal for GU playing all 90 minutes in the Hoya victory on Sunday.
• The Alexandria, Virginia native made two saves en route to the Blue & Gray's seventh shutout of the season.
• Martin boasts a 0.19 GAA this season and has contributed in all seven GU shutouts while allowing one goal across 463 minutes of action.
