WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team looks to defend its Princeton Invitational title from a season ago as the squad travels to Princeton, New Jersey this weekend to take on the 12-team field that includes a pair of BIG EAST Conference foes in St. John's and Seton Hall. The two-day tournament, hosted by Princeton, will be held at the Springdale Golf Club on its par-71, 6,086-yard course. HOYAS X THE PRINCETON INVITATIONAL
- GU will look to defend its title from a season ago. In 2023, Georgetown took first place at 10-over 862 (283-293-2896) as a squad, marking the first of three under-par team rounds for the year.
- The Hoyas had a trio tie for fifth place at the tournament including returner Megan Gormley who carded a 3-over 216 (71-75-70).
- It was the second time in program history the Hoyas had won the Princeton Invitational, previously taking the crown in 2017 when the team posted a 49-over 905 (308-301-296) led by Jacquelyn Eleey's individual win at 3-under 213 (75-67-71).
- This will mark Georgetown's 16th appearance in the Princeton Invitational, going back to the Blue & Gray's inaugural season in 2001-02.
