- Georgetown is coming off a 3-0 loss in its delayed season opener at Appalachian State on Sunday
- The Hoyas' original 2024 opener at Davidson was declared a no contest after lightning forced the cancelation of the game at halftime
- Against the Mountaineers, Ella Fahey recorded a career-high 21 saves in the game. The sophomore netminder posted five saves in the first quarter, seven in the second, six in the third and another three in the final frame
- Georgetown held App State scoreless through the first 23 minutes of the game before the hosts scored back-to-back goals at the 23:39 and 25:00 minute marks to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The Mountaineers added their final goal with just under five minutes to play in the third quarter.

- Sunday's game is scheduled for noon in Loretto, Pennsylvania
- The Red Flash are 1-1 on the year following a 3-2 overtime victory at Ball State in the season opener and a 5-0 setback at Miami (Ohio) during opening weekend
- Consu de Castro scored a pair of goals against Ball State while Dolores Zavaleta added the game-winner in overtime
- Madilyn Donmoyer, Emiliee Myers and Madison Waldspurger were each credited with assists as well
- In goal, Mia DiGenova has played every minute this season with 27 saves and a .794 save percentage
- Georgetown also hosted Saint Francis last season, falling 3-2 to the Red Flash. Sophie Towne and Trumpbour both tallied a goal and an assist against SFU while Fahey posted six saves.
