Georgetown Softball Announces 2025 Schedule Presented by MedStar Health

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University softball team has announced its 2025 spring schedule presented by MedStar Health. The team will compete from February 7 through May 4 and play 49 games with 16 of those contests being played at home at the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy in Washington D.C.. 

The Hoyas will open the season competing at Charleston Southern University from February 7-9, where they will play five games across three days. Georgetown will open against Bellarmine and Siena on the 7th, before facing off against Bellarmine and Charleston Southern on the 8th. The Hoyas will close out the weekend against Siena on the 9th. 

Georgetown will then head to Greensboro, North Carolina from February 14-16 to play another five games across three days. The Blue & Gray will open the weekend against Toledo and UNC Greensboro on the 14th. On the 15th, the Hoyas will go up against UNC Greensboro and Merrimack before capping off the weekend with another matchup against Merrimack on the 16th. 

GU will then travel to Chapel Hill, North Carolina from February 21-23 for another five games. Georgetown will kick off their weekend against Queens and West Georgia on the 21st. The Hoyas will then compete against UNC and Wagner College on the 22nd. And GU will conclude their five-game stretch with another matchup against Queens on the 23rd. 

Georgetown will compete in its final round-robin of the season in Lynchburg, Virginia from February 28 to March 2. The Hoyas will face off against Drexel and Liberty on the 28th before facing off against Drexel and Lehigh on March 1. GU will finish off the weekend with a Sunday matinee game against Appalachian State on March 2. 

The Hoyas will play their home opener on March 5th against Holy Cross. Georgetown will then open BIG EAST play in South Orange, New Jersey, for a three-game set against Seton Hall from March 7-9. 

GU will stay in the tri-state area for a three-game series against St.John's University from March 14-16 in Jamaica, New York.

The Blue & Gray will return home for one game against Harvard on March 18 before hosting Villanova for their first BIG EAST series at Nationals Youth Baseball Academy from March 21-23. 

The Hoyas will then travel to Indianapolis, Indiana for a three-game set against Butler from March 28-30. Georgetown will return home to continue conference play against Creighton from April 4-6.

The Blue & Gray will have a quick commute to Fairfax, Virginia for a midweek showdown against George Mason on April 9. The Hoyas will then return home to play another midweek showdown against Towson on April 15 before returning to conference play to host the Providence Friars on April 16-17.

In the final stretch of the season, GU will have a short trip to George Washington University for a midweek matchup against the Colonials on April 22 before heading up north for a three-game series against UConn from April 25-27. The Hoyas will then return home for their final regular season series against DePaul from May 2-4. Their matchup on May 3 will be the Hoyas senior day.
