WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team welcomes 13th-ranked Penn to the Nation's Capital on Saturday afternoon. The No. 14/15 Hoyas are playing in their third game of the season against a team ranked or receiving votes in the national polls while the Quakers take the field for the first time in 2025.

- The Hoyas are ranked No. 14 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coach's Poll and No. 15 in the KANE Inside Lacrosse Media Poll after two weeks of action.
- Georgetown dropped a tough 11-6 setback at then-No. 8 Johns Hopkins last Saturday in Baltimore.
- Fulton Bayman led the Hoyas with two goals and an assist while Aidan Carroll added a goal and two assists.
- Kade Goldberg, Owen Horning and Kevin Miller each added a goal while Joe Cesare and Jordan Wray both tallied assists.
- Ross Prince won 11 of 19 (.578) faceoffs and collected a pair of ground balls.
- Defensively, Robert Plath was credited with three caused turnovers while Ty Banks added a pair to go with three ground balls.

- On the season, Bayman leads the Hoyas with seven points (4G, 3A) while Carroll has six (2G, 4A). Miller has four goals on the year while Cesare has four points as well off of three goals and an assist.
- Defensively, Plath has four caused turnovers on the season while Banks and Foley both have three. McGurrin, Moore and Prince all have seven ground balls while Acton and Joe Vranizan have five.
- Prince has won 27-of-39 (.692) faceoffs on the season.
- In goal, Moore boasts an 8.64 goals-against average with a .528 save percentage and 19 saves.
Scouting Penn
- The Quakers (0-0) open their season against the Hoyas on Saturday.
- Penn returns an experienced squad, including its top four scorers in Tynan Walsh, Ben Smith, Cam Rubin and Griffin Scane. The foursome combined for 143 points on 98 goals and 45 assists last year.
- Defensively, the returning duo of Brendan Lavell and Ethan Till combined for 31 caused turnovers and 61 ground balls in 2024. Lavell was tabbed a USILA Preseason First Team All-American in the offseason.
- Using faceoff by committee a year ago, the Quakers return Mac Eldridge and Ethan Costanzo who combined to go 125-for-265 (.471) at the dot with 62 ground balls.
- In goal, USILA Preseason First Team All-American Emmet Carroll returns between the pipes. He posted a 10.82 GAA with a .594 save percentage and 238 saves last season.
Series History
- Georgetown and Penn have played just five times before, including each of the last three seasons.
- The Hoyas hold a 4-1 series lead, including a 12-9 victory in the City of Brotherly Love last season.
- Four of the five meetings all-time have been decided by three goals or fewer.
