WASHINGTON – A pair of Georgetown University men's lacrosse players earned BIG EAST Weekly honors, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Ty Banks was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week while
Fulton Bayman earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll after the Hoyas fell just short 11-9 to top-ranked Notre Dame over the weekend.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Banks tied a career-high with four caused turnovers and had two ground balls in an 11-9 loss to top-ranked Notre Dame. Georgetown's defense held the back-to-back defending national champions to 12 goals below their season average and allowed just five goals in the final 50 minutes of play.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Bayman scored two goals and added an assist against his former team in an 11-9 setback to top-ranked Notre Dame. This is Bayman's second nod to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this season.
The 10th-ranked Hoyas travel to Providence, Rhode Island to take on Brown on Saturday, March 1 at noon.
