Emily Novikov Named BIG EAST Women’s Singles Player of the Week

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University women's tennis player Emily Novikov was named the BIG EAST Women's Singles Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Monday. Novikov earned the honor after defeating No. 61 Maryia Hrynashka of Delaware, 6-3, 6-4.

"Emily had a great win last week against Delaware. It was a very gritty match, and she did an awesome job problem-solving to push through for the win. I'm excited to see her compete in more conference matches this weekend." - Head Coach Freddy Mesmer.
