Men’s Lacrosse Hosts Richmond in Top-15 Showdown

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team hosts No. 14 Richmond in a battle of Top-15 programs in the 2025 nonconference finale on Saturday at Cooper Field. The 13th-ranked Hoyas look to continue momentum into BIG EAST play with their second game of a three-game homestand.
 
On the Air
  • Saturday's game is set for a noon opening faceoff and will be shown on the BIG EAST Digital Network available on FloSports Presented by Invesco QQQ with Jeremy Huber calling the action.

About Georgetown
  • The Hoyas are ranked No. 13 in both the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches Poll and the KANE Inside Lacrosse Media Poll after six weeks of action.
  • Georgetown is coming off a 17-10 home victory over High Point over the weekend.
  • Four different Georgetown players recorded hat tricks in the win with Fulton Bayman, Aidan Carroll and Kevin Miller each tallying three goals and two assists. Jack Ransom had three goals as well.
  • Defensively, Robert Plath tied a career high with four caused turnovers for the second-straight game. Michael Haus had three and Seamus Foley added two. Georgetown's defense held High Point scoreless for the final 17:44 of the game and allowed just one goal in the final 21:38 of action.
  • In goal, Anderson Moore (5-2) collected six saves in the win.
  • On the season, Carroll leads the Hoyas with 29 points (18G, 11A) while Bayman has 24 (14G, 10A) and Joe Cesare adds 13 (11G, 2A). Miller has 12 points (9G, 3A) and Jordan Wray adds nine (3G, 6A).
  • Defensively, Plath has been credited with 18 caused turnovers on the season while Foley has 11 and Ty Banks has nine.
  • Ross Prince has won 50-of-86 (.581) faceoffs on the season to pace the Blue & Gray while Wilson Van Buren has gone 27-for-63 (.429).
  • In goal, Moore has played all but 4:03 on the year and boasts an 8.51 goals-against average with a .539 save percentage and 69 saves. 
Scouting Richmond
  • The Spiders (5-3) are coming off a tough 13-12 loss to then-No. 6 Duke in double overtime.
  • Lucas Littlejohn leads Richmond with 25 points (18G, 7A) while Max Merklinger adds 23 (15G, 8A) and Aidan O'Neil has 21 points (14G, 7A).
  • Defensively, Michael Dunham has been credited with 13 caused turnovers.
  • Richmond utilizes faceoff by committee, with Jared Chenoy leading the way with 43-for-74 (.581) on the year. As a team, the Spiders are 100-for-201 (.498) at the dot.
  • In goal, Zach Vigue has started all eight games, posting an 8.39 GAA to go with a .515 save percentage and 69 saves.
Series History
  • Georgetown and Richmond have played six times before with the Hoyas owning a 6-0 series lead.
  • The Hoyas and Spiders have played each year since 2022. Georgetown's only home game in that span was a 13-12 victory on the Hilltop in 2023. The Blue & Gray won the last meeting, 14-8, in Richmond.
