Four Hoyas Named USILA All-Americans

WASHINGTON – Four Georgetown University men's lacrosse standouts earned United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America honors, as announced by the governing body on Thursday. Ty Banks and Aidan Carroll were both named USILA Second Team All-Americans while Anderson Moore and Ross Prince earned USILA Honorable Mention All-America recognition.

Sophomore | Defense
USILA Second Team All-American
Banks earns USILA Second Team All-American honors after leading Georgetown's top-10 defense to allow just 9.12 goals per game. As Georgetown's top cover defenseman, he has been credited with 22 caused turnovers to go with 45 ground balls on the season while adding two goals and two assists on the offensive end. Banks led a Georgetown defense that held its opponents to single digit goals in 11 of their 17 games this season. He was previously named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year as well as a USA Lacrosse Magazine Second Team All-American and a Nike Lacrosse Media Honorable Mention All-American.
 
Aidan Carroll

USILA Second Team All-American
Carroll earns USILA Second Team All-American honors after leading the Hoyas with 50 goals and 27 assists for 77 points and is just the third Hoya in program history with at least two 60-point seasons in a career. Carroll was also named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year and became the only player in league history to be named BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player twice after setting BIG EAST records for goals (8) and points (10) in a tournament game en route to Georgetown's NCAA record seven-straight conference tournament titles. He added six goals and two assists against Duke in the NCAA Tournament First Round and tallied a pair of goals against Maryland in the NCAA Quarterfinals. Carroll was previously named a USA Lacrosse Magazine and Nike Lacrosse Media Honorable Mention All-American as well.
 
Anderson Moore

USILA Honorable Mention All-American
Moore earned USILA Honorable Mention All-American honors for the second-straight season after another stellar campaign between the pipes. Named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year, he posted a 9.01 goals-against average to go with a .534 save percentage and 172 saves. His 9.01 GAA ranked seventh overall in NCAA Division I. Moore had nine games with double-digit saves, including a career-high 17 at Brown and 12 against Maryland in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
 
Ross Prince
Freshman | Faceoff Specialist
USILA Honorable Mention All-American
Prince earns his first USILA Honorable Mention accolade as a freshman after an impactful season at the faceoff dot. He won 143-of-227 (.630) faceoffs to go with 58 ground balls, a goal and an assist. His .630 faceoff winning percentage ranked seventh overall in NCAA Division I. Prince won at least 50% of his draws in 11 of his 13 games this season including a 20-for-30 (.667) showing against Duke in the NCAA First Round. He was also named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and the BIG EAST Co-Specialist of the Year this season.
