WASHINGTON – Georgetown University women's soccer Head Coach
Dave Nolan announced the 2025 schedule presented by MedStar Health on Monday. This season, the Hoyas will play 18 regular season contests including nine matches at Shaw Field.
Georgetown will play eight nonconference games, five of which are against opponents who made the 2024 NCAA Tournament. GU finished the season in 2024 ranked No.19 nationally and earned a spot as a six seed in the NCAA tournament. GU's season came to an end in the second round of the NCAA tournament against Iowa. Georgetown has earned a spot in the NCAA tournament in 13-consecutive seasons.
The Blue & Gray will open the 2025 campaign at Shaw Field as the Hoyas host Old Dominion on Thursday, August 14. After a week off, Georgetown will face James Madison (August 21) before hitting the road for a two-game road trip. GU will close out the month of August at Virginia Tech (August 24) and Virginia (August 31).
The Hoyas will kickoff the month of September with a road matchup at Vanderbilt (September 4). GU will then return home to face its second SEC opponent in as many games as the South Carolina Gamecocks visit the nations capital (September 7). After a Sunday showdown with South Carolina, GU will hit the road to take on Bucknell (September 11) before returning home for its final nonconference matchup with St. Mary's (September 14).
Georgetown will open BIG EAST play with back-to-back road matchups at Creighton (September 20) and Seton Hall (September 24). GU will close out the month of September with a home contest against UConn at Shaw Field (September 27).
The Hoyas will open the month of October at Shaw as GU welcomes Butler to the Hilltop (October 1). The Blue & Gray will then hit the road for a Saturday evening contest in New York City as the Hoyas take on St. John's (October 4).
After a week off, Georgetown will host DePaul (October 11) and Providence (October 15) in a two-game home stand before hitting the road for the final time in October. After a Saturday showdown at Marquette (October 18), GU will conclude its regular season home schedule with a matchup against Villanova (October 22).
The Blue & Gray will then hit the road to face Xavier (November 1) in the regular season finale before postseason play begins.

"Once again we have put together an incredibly challenging non-conference schedule to supplement the rigors of BIG EAST play. With six NCAA Tournament teams from last year it should provide us with a strong strength of schedule and the opportunity to help build a strong NCAA resume.
We open with two well coached Sun Belt teams in JMU and ODU. We follow by playing excellent ACC teams in Virginia and Virginia Tech and SEC powers Vanderbilt & South Carolina which will really test us. Throw in some battles with a top Patriot league team, Bucknell and a battle-hardened St. Mary's from the WCC and I believe we have a very exciting and demanding schedule. Our team is looking forward to it very much."
