Robert Plath,
Ross Prince and
Jack Ransom all also earned preseason All-BIG EAST recognition. Banks, Moore and Prince were each unanimous selections.
Georgetown topped the poll with 25 points and all five possible first place votes, followed by Villanova with 21 points and the remaining first place vote. Coaches could not vote for their own team in the poll. Denver came in third with 15 points with Marquette, Providence and St. John's rounding out the voting with 12, 11 and five points respectively.

Banks is a unanimous selection as the 2026 BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year after earning BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year honors as a sophomore in 2025. He was also a USILA Second Team All-American, USA Lacrosse Magazine Second Team All-American and Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American last year. In his first two seasons on the Hilltop, Banks was a First Team All-BIG EAST selection as a freshman and a sophomore. In 2025, he started all 17 games for the Hoyas and collected 45 ground balls to go with 22 caused turnovers. Banks currently ranks eighth all-time at Georgetown in career caused turnovers with 46 just two seasons in the District.

Connor joins the Hoyas for his final season of eligibility after graduating from Colgate in 2025. In 2025, he was named a USILA Honorable Mention All-American, Nike Lacrosse Media Honorable Mention All-American and USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-American while earning First Team All-Patriot League honors as a senior. Connor led Colgate to the 2025 Patriot League Championship and scored 113 goals to go with 81 assists for 194 points in 47 career games with the Raiders
Anderson Moore

Moore, the reigning BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year, is a unanimous selection after another stellar campaign. The junior netminder was a USILA Honorable Mention All-American and First Team All-BIG EAST honoree while also being named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. He was selected to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team as well. Last season, Moore logged 998:42 minutes in net and posted a 9.01 goals-against average to go with a .534 save percentage and 172 saves. He added 49 ground balls and was credited with a pair of caused turnovers. As a freshman in 2023, Moore was also a USILA Honorable Mention All-American, a Second Team All-BIG EAST performer and was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year.
Robert Plath
Sophomore | Defense
Mahopac, N.Y.
Plath had a productive freshman campaign in 2025, earning Second Team All-BIG EAST honors. He started all 17 games for the Hoyas at close defense as a rookie and was credited with a Georgetown freshman record 27 caused turnovers with 24 ground balls. Georgetown's defense was ranked in the top-10 in 2025, allowing just 9.12 goals per game and the Hoyas held their opponents to single digit goals in 11 of their 17 games on the year.
Ross Prince
Sophomore | Faceoff Specialist
Penn Valley, Pa.
Prince is one of three unanimous selections to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team and the only faceoff specialist to be recognized. As a freshman in 2025, he was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and the BIG EAST Co-Specialist of the Year as well as a Second Team All-BIG EAST honoree. Prince also secured a spot on the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team after the Hoyas won their unprecedented seventh-straight league championship. He played in 13 games for the Hoyas as a freshman and won 143-of-227 (.629) faceoffs with 58 ground balls.
Jack Ransom
Sophomore | Attack
Charlotte, N.C.
Ransom had a sensational rookie campaign in 2025, scoring 31 goals to go with five assists for 36 points to earn Second Team All-BIG EAST recognition. He played in all 17 games for the Hoyas and started the final six games of the season. Ransom scored a BIG EAST record nine goals against No. 19 Villanova in the regular season finale, just one goal from tying the Georgetown record and two shy of the NCAA Division 1 record
Georgetown opens the 2026 campaign on the road at Loyola on Saturday, January 31.
