WASHINGTON – A pair of Georgetown University men's lacrosse standouts were named to the initial Tewaaraton Award Watch List presented by Stifel, as announced by The Tewaaraton Foundation on Tuesday. Juniors

Anderson Moore are two of just 50 men's players on the list.
Founded in 2001, The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.

Banks earns a spot on the initial Tewaaraton Award Watch List after being named a consensus preseason second team All-American by the Unites States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine. He was also named the 2026 BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year after earning BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year honors as a sophomore in 2025. In his first two seasons on the Hilltop, Banks was a First Team All-BIG EAST selection as a freshman and a sophomore. In 2025, he started all 17 games for the Hoyas and collected 45 ground balls to go with 22 caused turnovers. Banks currently ranks eighth all-time at Georgetown in career caused turnovers with 46 just two seasons in the District. He was also named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List last season.
Anderson Moore

Moore is one of just five goalies to earn a spot on the initial Tewaaraton Award Watch List. He was also named a preseason honorable mention All-American by both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine as well as a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-BIG EAST team. The junior netminder was a USILA Honorable Mention All-American, First Team All-BIG EAST selection and the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year in 2025 while also being named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. He was selected to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team as well. Last season, Moore logged 998:42 minutes in net and posted a 9.01 goals-against average to go with a .534 save percentage and 172 saves. He added 49 ground balls and was credited with a pair of caused turnovers. As a freshman in 2023, Moore was also a USILA Honorable Mention All-American, a Second Team All-BIG EAST performer and was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year.
Following a pair of weather-related delays, the Hoyas will open the 2026 season on the road at Penn on Saturday in Philadelphia.
