Hoyas Deliver Personal Bests and Program Highlights at BU Valentine Invitational

WASHINGTON – Several Hoyas raced into Georgetown's record books as track & field wrapped up competition at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational over the weekend.

Georgetown Women
  • Mile Inv.: Charlotte Tomkinson ran the second-fastest time in program history, finishing in 15th place with a time of 4:31.76. Tomkinson's finish was a personal best and ranks first in the BIG EAST. Charlotte Bell took 52nd with a time of 4:45.94.
  • 3000m: Barrett Justema (3rd) also found her way into Georgetown's record books, capturing a top-3 finish with a time of 9:03.85. Her time ranks fifth in program history and second in the conference this season.
  • 5000m: Almi Nerurkar finished in the top 25, taking 23rd with a time of 15:59.72. She's now recorded the third and sixth-fastest times in program history this season, previously clocking a time of 15:42.12 at the BU Season Opener on December 6.
  • Mile: Mary Grace Hegberg (9th) led all GU finishers with a personal best time of 4:43.40, followed by Luci Lambert (16th, 4:45.13) and Victoria Ketzler (102nd, 4:56.53).
  • 800m: Lillie Bogdan placed 56th with a time of 2:13.39.
 
Georgetown Men
  • 5000m Inv.: Birhanu Harriman clocked the second-fastest finish in program history and set a new personal best with a time of 13:29.10 for ninth place. Harriman's time is second in the conference.
  • 5000m: Quinn Parrish ran a personal best time of 13:49.88 while MacCallum Rowe placed 49th with a time of 13:56.55.
  • 800m Inv.: Gabriele Angiono placed 29th with a time of 1:49.28.
  • Mile Inv.: Tommy Shaw finished 44th with a time of 4:01.98.
  • 800m: Alex Pelov was Georgetown's top finisher, taking 18th with a time of 1:51.63.
  • 1000m: Christopher Middleton-Pearson (11th) had a near top-10 finish with a time of 2:26.00.
  • 3000m: Van Furman took 127th with a time of 8:19.30.
