WASHINGTON – Georgetown University junior attacker
Anne McGovern earned a BIG EAST Conference award on Monday as announced by the league. McGovern was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Georgetown moved to 2-0 on the 2026 season with a 17-9 victory over Towson this past weekend.

- McGovern anchored the Hoyas' offense in the victory, leading all scorers in the dominant road win.
- She recorded a career-high five goals against the Tigers, showing elite efficiency by netting her five scores on just five shots on goal.
- The junior's performance was highlighted by an .625 shot-on-goal percentage. She ignited the Georgetown offense early, scoring back-to-back unassisted goals in the first quarter to spark a 4-0 run that gave the Hoyas a lead they would never surrender.
- Under her offensive leadership, the Hoyas have averaged 15.5 goals per game through the first two contests of the season.
- This is McGovern's first BIG EAST weekly honor of the 2026 season.
