Georgetown Travels to St. John’s on Wednesday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will travel to St. John's University to take on the Red Storm in a BIG EAST Conference matchup on Wednesday evening at Carnesecca Arena in Queens, New York. The opening tip is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

New this season, the BIG EAST Conference has partnered with ESPN to broadcast more than 75 women's basketball games on ESPN+.
All remaining Georgetown women's basketball contests that are not broadcast on linear television will be available on ESPN+.

About the Hoyas

Georgetown (12-13, 5-11 BIG EAST) is coming off of a close 59-54 loss to Providence on Saturday afternoon at McDonough Arena.
Graduate student Brianna Scott had an all-around performance for the Hoyas leading the squad with 17 points on 7-9 shooting, eight rebounds, two blocks as well as a steal and an assist.
The Blue & Gray shot 35.7% (20-56) from the field, and allowed 37.9% (22-58) shooting by Providence.
The Hoyas outrebounded the Friars, 40-36, and GU forced 14 PC turnovers on seven steals.
Junior Khia Miller leads the way for the Hoyas this season with 10.3 ppg.
Sophomore Destiny Agubata is averaging 8.5 ppg to rank among the leaders and is also second on the glass with 4.7 rpg.
Junior Cristen Carter leads the team on the boards with 4.9 rpg to go along with 5.3 ppg.

About the Red Storm

St. John's (20-8, 10-7 BIG EAST) is coming off of a 58-47 win over Butler in Indianapolis on Saturday.
Sa'Mya Wyatt led the way with a 12-point effort, while Janeya Grant added 10 points to reach double figures and Daniela Abies hauled in a team-best 12 rebounds.
SJU has two players averaging in double figures with Brooke Moore leading the way averaging 12.4 ppg.
St. John's is 11-2 at home this season.

Georgetown is 34-44 all-time against St. John's and 12-24 on the road.
Earlier this season, GU defeated St. John's 59-34 at McDonough Arena.
Agubata led the way with 15 points to go along with four assists and a steal, while graduate student Laila Jewett added 13 points as the other Hoya in double figures.
